HMEI Award for Young Engineers

*Deadline for 2021 nominations: May 21, 2021*

The HMEI Award for Young Engineers was established in 2014 to acknowledge the distinguished work carried out by young engineers and scientists in the field of hydrometeorological systems and services design and development in HMEI member companies.

The selection of candidates and presentation of the award takes place every two years. In 2021, HMEI Council has launched a fourth campaign for the award. The presentation of the award will be held at the 22nd session of the HMEI General Assembly (GA-22) in October 2021, to be held in Paris, France, in conjunction with Meteorological Technology World Expo and WMO’s TECO conference.

All HMEI member companies are encouraged to nominate a young engineer under the age of 35, who has undertaken significant technical and scientific works in the industry, such as technical publications, patents, or other works.

The winner, who is selected by an independent panel of reviewers, using a well-documented review and selection procedure, will receive a certificate, medal and cash prize of 3,000 Swiss Francs.

The deadline for 2021 nominations is May 21.

Previous winners:
