Created in 1992, MODEM is nowadays a front-runner manufacturer of Upper-Air systems and associated radiosondes.

Thanks to a significant presence worldwide representing large number of system operated (More than 40 NMSs from different countries across all continents and Under all climate conditions) we have actually grown into a major player in this specific fiel.

According to company values and innovation Policy, we recently developped new products:

  • RobotSonde: Unmanned Upper-Air sounding system. This automatic launcher has been designed to bring flexibility, efficiency and cost savings in the management of an Upper-Air station.

  • LOAC: Light Optical Aerosol Counter. This counter, developed, in cooperation with French research institute LCP2E-CNRS, determines the concentration of aerosol.
